Instructor: Jason Garfoot

Jason Garfoot is the Senior Technical Advisor at Global Finishing Solutions. Jason got his start in the industry as a detailer at a collision repair shop while in college. He worked his way up as a bodyman and then into the paint department, where he started as a painter's helper and transitioned into a lead painter and management position . Jason uses his background in engineering and degree in science to apply some nontraditional insights to the collision repair industry. He works with paint companies, and spray equipment companies throughout North America and Central Europe to test and help develop new products and processes for the automotive refinish industry. He works with magazine publications such as ABRN and Fender Bender, as well as body shop performance organizations throughout the United States and Canada to identify trends in the market and help educate body shops to prepare for and capitalize on those trends. Jason also consults and evaluates body shops to identify areas in which they can improve performance and quality, while reducing key to key times and maximize efficiency. At GFS he also helps customers find the correct equipment for their shops and assist shops with their layouts and design.
