Action Is Needed To Advance Mechancial Shop Registration!
ASA Ohio continues to promote legislation designed to advance the automotive repair industry by registering mechanical repair facilities with Ohio’s Motor Vehicle Repair Board. SB 232, sponsored by Senator Joe Uecker, has received three hearings in the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee, but it has yet to be scheduled for a vote.
State legislators will break in June and will not return until November, making action on SB 232 over the next month critical for the bill’s future. Please help us urge the members of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee to vote on this important piece of legislation.
Here is a list of committee members and their contact information. Please customize the sample letter and send it to the Senate members on the attached list. Contacting committee members is critical to getting this important legislation out of the committee and on the Senate floor for a vote!
Together we can improve Ohio’s automotive service industry by creating a level playing field and ensuring that our consumers are protected from unethical shops. Thank you for your support!
